Composed primarily of Apple loops, it blends together strands of outsider-pop, EDM, garage punk, UK dubstep, psychedelia, and who knows what else. It is lyrically tied together by a fascination with violence and uncertainty, albeit refusing to take sides. With extra care from producer Andrew Sarlo (Big Thief, Nick Hakim), Mercury reveals itself to be a deranged vision in the vein of Suicide and The Knife. Enjoy.”
