“‘So Long’ is the only song I’ve ever dreamt up. I had a real Keef moment: I was asleep, hearing this melody in my head and woke up. I sat down at the piano right away and tried to remember what I just dreamt. Don’t really know if it sounds anything like the dream, but I kind of think it has a dream-like quality to it.
Lyrically, I think it matches up somehow, since it’s about wanting and dreaming about meeting someone so badly that you can’t wait.”
