DEMSKY – “COMMUNITY”
A Spill Exclusive Music Premiere
Toronto-born Alan Demsky now resides in Tokyo where he supports the likes of Momo Funk, Roth Bart Baron and Summer Olympics. Demsky takes a lot of his inspiration from artists like Lemon Jelly, Bonobo and the beat-making, post-rock scenes that he’s heavily involved in.
The ambient and weaving formations of the layers in each track are representations of the elements of the environment around us each more beautiful than the next especially when they are interlaced. The rawness and unpredictability of some of the sounds is to show that nothing is ever the same twice.

I have worked with some amazing people in my lifetime and this is a tribute to them. They are the ones that have helped me grow in ways I never could have imagined. It’s amazing how we can flourish and progress by just listening to each other with an open mind and stepping back to get a glimpse into ourselves.
Lessons of love, understanding, choices, perseverance, and adaptability are some of the themes on “Community”.
