ALESSIO PECK – “MAMA”
A SPILL EXCLUSIVE MUSIC PREMIERE
Produced by Ross Orton (Arctic Monkeys, M.I.A., Working Men’s Club), France-based Italian artist Alessio Peck returns with a bold new vision in 2025 — one that fuses post-punk grit, rave-era nostalgia, and fiercely personal songwriting. His latest single “MAMA”, out September 3, is the first taste of his upcoming EP Angel Machine, releasing September 26 via cult French label Kwaidan Records.
A self-described “multi-instrumentalist who fell in love with machines,” Peck taps into a darker, more visceral sonic world — blending jungle beats, synth-driven textures and EBM grooves with haunting vocals and lyrical heart. Inspired by the likes of Nick Cave, Depeche Mode, Joy Division, and Nine Inch Nails, Peck’s sound is at once deeply emotive and club-ready.
“Come and discover my new Anglo-Saxon adventures with “MAMA”, the first track from my collaboration with British producer Ross Orton. This one takes you back to the ’90s with a wild jungle beat,” says Alessio.
About the EP Angel Machine Produced in Sheffield by Orton (Arctic Monkeys, M.I.A., Working Men’s Club), Angel Machine sees Alessio blur the line between electronic music and songwriting with a sound that is both confrontational and cinematic — like stadium anthems seen through a rave strobe.
“I want to break down the barriers between electronic music and rock, and blur the lines between singer-songwriter and DJ,” he explains.
This is music that belongs as much to the dancefloor as it does to the stage — brimming with distorted drum machines, icy synths, and punk energy, yet always grounded in sharp hooks and raw emotion.
Born in Italy and now based in Paris, Alessio Peck is a former psych-rock guitarist turned electronic provocateur. A seasoned performer, he has toured internationally with past bands including The Stags (UK) and Acid Tongue (USA), before refocusing on his own songwriting. His 2021 Italian-language track “Amore Bipolare” earned him cult attention at home, but it’s in France where Peck has embraced his true artistic identity. From melancholic chanson to dark disco, Alessio’s sound continues to evolve — but the soul remains the same: always about the song. Whether singing in Italian or English, wielding a guitar or a TR-909, Alessio delivers music that’s visceral, poetic, and unmistakably his own.
