TERRA LIGHTFOOT
HEALING POWER
SONIC UNYON
Is there anything wrong with some high energy, guitar-driven pop-rock, with or without other embellishments? Surely not, if it has a lot of good melodic hooks, and some strong vocals, it this case, as presented by Terra Lightfoot on her latest album Healing Power.
It seems to have been an upward progression for Lightfoot, as on this album there isn’t a track to criticize, with the likes of the opener “Cross Border Lovers”, “Someone Else’s Feelings”, and “Keep You In My Pocket” standing out, particularly with Lightfoot’s vocals and knack for a good melody.
This all might be credited to Lightfootβs account of working on this album: “There was a sense of freedom, both personally and creatively, that struck me while I was writing this record”.
You can actually feel that release of personal energy that makes this album Lightfoot’s most accomplished yet.
