SPILL ALBUM REVIEW: LOW WATER BRIDGE BAND – BACK TO THE VALLEY

Low Water Bridge Band

LOW WATER BRIDGE BAND
BACK TO THE VALLEY
INDEPENDENT

Low Water Bridge Band, is a relatively fresh force on the Americana music scene, as the band started back in 2020. The Virginia sextet consists of Logan Moore (guitar, vocals), Alex Kerns (bass, vocals), Riley Kerns (drums, background vocals), James Montgomery (lead guitar), Justin Carver (pedal steel, banjo),and Rudy Bzdyk (fiddle, trumpet, keyboards).

After their initial release Midnight in Virginia, they came up with their follow-up Back to the Valley. Yet, for a band that is so relatively fresh, they exhibit a truly mature sound, based on very strong songwriting that doesn’t simply stick to true and tried country music formulas, and on very strong instrumental skills by the whole band and excellent lead vocals by Moore.

Throughout, the band exhibits one of those key Americana music qualities – you simply cannot pinpoint the time when this album was recorded – yesterday or few decades ago.
