SPILL ALBUM REVIEW: BRYAN BINNEMA – THINGS YOU LEAVE BEHIND

Bryan Binnema

Bryan Binnema
Things You Leave Behind
Independent

Bryan Binnema is a brand new indie artist out of Toronto. He brings an indie-folk pop vibe to the table. It is nothing truly new or different, but it is a very consistent and moving sound. Binnema’s new EP is called Things You Leave Behind. His take on the lyrics is where his music truly thrives. He is very poetic with the lyrics. Something any music fan will appreciate.

The biggest downfall of this EP is that there are only three songs on it. I could see Binnema’s music potentially going somewhere, but this EP is simply too short to truly do it justice. The musical aspect is a little vanilla, but the lyrics meld so well with it that the listener goes on a journey for each song. Each song is so meaningful and carries so much emotion that the listener gains a great passion for it as well. It just does something to the listener that makes them want to go find a someone they love and just hold them.

I would definitely say to look for Bryan Binnema in the future as he produces more music. The EP does not disappoint, but it doesn’t really push the boundaries or do anything revolutionary.
