Kevin Pittman is a singer/songwriter from Reedville, VA, a small coastal town on the Chesapeake Bay. He grew up working as a pattern maker in his father’s marine propeller business. His new album, Sundog, is a magnificent collection of pop, R&B, and rock, singing about maps, neighborhood characters, family, friends, babysitters, love, and death, combined with grooves and melodies that will stick in your ears like glue. The first single, “Gumdrop Blue,” is about charting a course but winding up somewhere you hadn’t figured but realizing you’re where you need to be and there is a place in this world for you.
The video is hilarious, with Kevin riding his stationary complete with bike tassels in the wind, taking a trip around the world without leaving the house.
