Bullet For My Valentine
Bullet For My Valentine
Spinefarm Records
After ongoing delays, British heavy metal band Bullet For My Valentine is finally ready to release their self-titled studio album. Taking two years to complete, itβs heavy, itβs brutal and they waste no time punching it out from start to finish, giving you an intense 44-min ride, so hang on.
As the album opener βParasiteβ starts, you hear a glitchy introduction with tiny clips of choruses of their previous singles that fades out and then punches out a pretty heavy initiation into one of their heaviest, most aggressive records to date. Vocalist Matt Tuck releases fury with βyou make me sick like a virus/you fucking parasite!β and βI hope you choke!β Lead single βKnivesβ, Bullet For My Valentine starts out with a thump of the drums and then continues the ferocity of the song with Tuckβs intense screams throughout. Itβs a banger that no doubt will start up thrashing in the pits. Bringing it back to old BFMV sound halfway through, they get right back to it with βShatterβ and follow through to the end wrapping things up with βIβm just so tired of hurtingβ in βDeath by A Thousand Cutsβ. Before you know what hit you, itβs over. Itβs worth an immediate repeat.
Bullet For My Valentine has outdone itself. Coming out of the gate swinging, never letting up and never disappointing, the album is well worth the wait, and everything you could hope to hear from Bullet For My Valentine, pleasing both old and new fans alike.
