New Berlin’s second album Magnet shows promise and a tremendous growth since 2016’s Basic Function. The Texas three-piece is firing on all cylinders driving home a powerful punk sound that will leave you head banging in an empty room taking in the witty lyricism, punchy guitar and wall shattering bass riffs. The trio has found a lane and sound that continues to keep them on the rise. The track that stands out is “C.S.I” for its intense bass line and replay worthy guitar solo. New Berlin is a testament to what happens when you make music for the good times, and for the love of the grind. Seeing the momentum swinging in their favour, if they can keep up the pace and effort shown on Magnet, you’ll surely be spending your hard-earned money to see these guys crush a live show at your favourite dive bar.
