Sydney Blu
Bouncin’ EP
Playmobil

On November 25, Canada’s “leading house and techno vixen,” Sydney Blu releases her ‘Bouncin’ EP on Playmobil with Mihalis Safras’ Material Series. Described as “strong, sinfully, contagious originals,” Bouncin’ delivers – you guessed it – bouncy house originals with a sleek techno edge. The tracks are full of the anthem-like rises and hard breaks that you’d expect from a Blu track.
“Bouncin,” — the title and opening track on the EP, is upbeat and addictive. It blends G-House vocals with softer, melodic tones, supported by a “sexy, chugging bass line with crisp, layered high hats.” The EP is bookended with the noticeably darker and softer “What I Need” keeps the high-distorted female vocals over a clever arrangement of sirens, bells and piano riffs over a dark, bounding bass line. “Jackrabbit” the middle track is the heaviest in terms of energy with a strong, thumping bass and a provocative and hilarious feminist monologue speaking to the female masses: “Because the man who is living to ejaculate, he’s in a predator mode.”
