LITTLE RICHARD
TRY SOME OF MINE: THE BRUNSWICK RECORDINGS
BRUNSWICK RECORDINGS

“Good Golly Miss Molly”! Little Richard is back! Rock & Roll Hall of Famer and the King of Rock’ n’ Roll, devised by Elvis Presley, the liberating playful Richard put the funk into the 50s and 60s rock ‘n’ roll, and now Brunswick Records has remastered and will be releasing the album Try Some of Mine: The Brunswick Recordings on April 12, 2025.
The album features six of Richard’s songs, recorded in 1968, that showcase his deep roots in rock and soul. The title track, “Try Some of Mine,” is especially noteworthy, featuring a catchy melody, high harmonies, and skilled rhythm. These elements, along with Richard’s energetic delivery, all contribute to making it an excellent example of his style from the vinyl era. “Soul Train” is a funky track to dance to, straight out of the late 1960s. The horns and rhythm section emphasize the high-spirited atmosphere.
The album’s historical significance is widely praised, as it captures a period in Richard’s career that was not well known. This transparent pink vinyl will be a must-have for both Richard’s fans and vinyl record collectors alike. It does more than commemorate his legacy; it brings new generations to appreciate the genius of his music.
So, dig out that record player, even if you have to dust it off a bit, and throw on Try Some of Mine: The Brunswick Recordings. I don’t know about you, but after all that gyrating, hip-swishing, blues-shattering rock ‘n’ roll, I want a cigarette! A-wop-bom-a-loo-mop-a-lomp-bom-bom!
