James Barry is a 24-year-old Australian musician who has been releasing music under his indie project ‘link3’ since late 2022. At 19, James was deeply influenced by Dean Blunt, Powderfinger, and most importantly Duster to learn guitar and ultimately start his music career with a vision of ‘slowcore revival’

This is a vision he shared with Liam McCay, who is now a global indie juggernaut with over a billion streams. James and Liam’s early collaborations have gained nearly 10 million streams, providing a flourishing start, platform and fanbase for link3 and his solo career. Since the beginning, James has seen link3 as an adolescent and unrestrained project that serves as an experimental learning ground for him to try and reach his goal of becoming a high-grade songwriter and musician. From 2024, the uniquely talented sunniva has joined link3 as the lead vocalist, allowing James to push the envelope of his songwriting even further.
