GODDAMN WOLVES – “OLDER, SLOWER”
A SPILL EXCLUSIVE VIDEO PREMIERE
Goddamn Wolves is an indie rock trio from Raleigh, North Carolina. Their latest single is “Older, Slower” b/w “Everything Real Is Free.”
“Older, Slower” highlights the bands signature style of catchy hooks combined with kick ass riffs, pounding drums and male/female vocal interplay. The song began as a guitar riff and quickly turned into a back and forth dialogue between band members Laura and Chris about getting older — and getting over it.
Like Goddamn Wolves’ last few releases, the single was recorded at Found After Dark Studio with Max Gowan and Travis Harrington engineering. The song’s all out guitar-fueled energy and highlighting of each band member’s strengths seemed to make it an obvious choice for the band’s first video. The video was directed by Clayton Herring, who has also directed videos for Raleigh band Thirsty Curses.
ARTIST QUOTE
This is our first music video. We didn’t give director Clayton Herring much budget to work with, but he went above and beyond. He even borrowed a 1949 Ford Coupe for the shoot! They towed us in that while Clayton hung off the side of the car filming us through the window. It was really fun. Hopefully we have more videos in our future!
