NEW BUTCH BASTARD SONG “ACRYLIC & BLEACH” OUT NOW FROM HIS UPCOMING ALBUM DEATH VALLEY
TOUR DATES SUPPORTING FATHER JOHN MISTY
Butch Bastard has released the third single, “Acrylic & Bleach” from his third LP Death Valley. Slated for release in April of 2025, Butch Bastard will support the album as direct support for Father John Misty on the FJM spring 2025 EU/UK tour featuring stops at Copenhagen Opera House and London’s Royal Albert Hall.
“This song is about an old friend of mine who is no longer with us. Out of respect for the family of the fallen and a hesitancy to glorify him or claim his story as my own to tell, I will leave him unnamed and won’t go into the grim details of his demise. But I will say it involves a LOT of spray paint, crack-cocaine, serious mental illness, some jail time, a knife fight outside of a Carl’s Jr., a stolen police cruiser, a high speed pursuit, a body riddled with bullets fired by police, a missing persons report, and a severed head. If you know, you know.”
Butch Bastard is the moniker of Seattle-raised, Los Angeles-based musician and songwriter Ian Murray. Before beginning Butch Bastard, Murray was a core member of Sub Pop band Poor Moon.
