GISUN – “VEO VEO”
INDEPENDENT
Gisun’s latest single, “Veo Veo” translates to the game in English: “I spy with my little eye.”
Fully written, produced, and recorded in Mexico by artists from Veracruz, Cuernavaca, and Chihuaua, “Veo Veo” tells the story of effortless love through noticing the little details. Gisun began composing “Veo Veo” on the mountaintops of Oaxaca, overlooking lush and dense forests that inspired the elements of nature within the music.
The song embodies a floating sensation – from chirping birds to long strokes of the harmonized violoncello. It transports the listener to unfamiliar lands, using intricate guitar rhythms, string, and vocal arrangements. The short yet simple and sweet tune is written poetically. Noticing the kindness in one’s eyes, the softness of the mouth, and the joys of one’s smile. “Veo Veo”‘s artwork reflects the various sides of a heart. Little bits and pieces are found by a fisherman; the more he sits patiently fishing in his boat, the more sides of the hearts he encounters.
To celebrate this joyous release in the northern part of the world, Gisun is celebrating by performing live with a lineup of diverse artists at The Cameron House on July 23 from 7-9pm. Join in on the fun of Latin American rhythms and boleros!
