NOAH KAHAN
@ BUDWEISER STAGE, TORONTO
SEPTEMBER 17, 2023
Noah Kahan’s Toronto stop on his Stick Season tour was nothing short of electrifying. The evening kicked off with the alluring notes of “Northern Attitude,” immediately setting the crowd’s spirits ablaze.
This concert undoubtedly ranked among his finest performances. The energy from the audience surpassed even that of the artist himself, as a tidal wave of emotions swept through the venue. Tears of joy, unrestrained happiness, and a sense of being truly alive coursed through the crowd.
There’s an ineffable quality to Noah Kahan’s concerts. His remarkable ability to transmit the very essence and emotion of a song to his audience is unparalleled. Despite the presence of many new faces in the audience, drawn by the success of his latest album, Stick Season, Kahan surprised and delighted long time fans by including two of his older tracks, a gesture that was particularly special to those, like me, who had been wondering if his 2017 classics would find a place in the setlist.
As the night ended, Noah Kahan treated us to a three-song encore that left an indelible mark on our souls. Beginning with the poignant ballad “View Between Villages” and culminating with the soul-stirring renditions of his chart-toppers “Homesick” and “Stick Season,” Noah Kahan once again rose to the occasion, delivering a performance that will forever resonate with every fan in that stadium
