BILLY IDOL & JOAN JETT
@ RUOFF MUSIC CENTER, NOBLESVILLE (IN)
AUGUST 30, 2025
Saturday night in Noblesville, Indiana was a full-throttle celebration of rock rebellion as Billy Idol’s “It’s a Nice Day To… Tour Again!” rolled into the Ruoff Music Center with none other than Joan Jett & The Blackhearts as the opening act. The pairing of these two punk and glam rock legends was nothing short of electric, delivering a night that felt like a time machine fueled by leather, attitude, and timeless anthems.
Jett hit the stage launching into “Victim of Circumstance” and immediately setting the tone for a no-nonsense, high-energy set. Her voice was as fierce and defiant as ever, slicing through the Indiana air with tracks like “Cherry Bomb,” “Do You Wanna Touch Me (Oh Yeah)”, and the iconic “I Love Rock ‘N Roll.” The crowd roared in approval as she closed with “Bad Reputation,” a fitting anthem for a woman who’s never played by the rules.
Then came Idol, strutting onstage with his trademark sneer and platinum hair still perfectly tousled. Idol proved age is irrelevant when you’ve got charisma and a catalogue of hits that still ignite a crowd. He opened with “Still Dancing,” a newer track that was met with thunderous applause, before diving into a setlist that spanned decades. “Eyes Without a Face,” “Flesh for Fantasy,” and “Dancing with Myself” had fans swaying and singing, but it was “Rebel Yell” and “Mony Mony” that truly brought the house down.
Guitarist Steve Stevens was back in the fold, and his blistering solos added fire to every track. The stage production was equally impressive — massive LED screens flashed vintage footage on a ton of TV screens that took the crowd back to their MTV days.
Guitarist Billy Morrison honoured his best friend Ozzy Osbourne while Jett spoke out against animal rights and the current administration.
Together, Idol and Jett reminded everyone why they’ve remained icons for over 40 years. It wasn’t just nostalgia—it was proof that rock ‘n’ roll, when done right, never gets old. The “It’s a Nice Day to… Tour” let those looking for a night of rebellious celebration know they’d come to the right place!
