Sunshine Makers played the last set of NXNE at The Baby G on Saturday. The quintessential hippie band had the room jumping as part of the LOVETOWN RECORDS Showcase. LOVETOWN RECORDS is an independent record label based in London, Canada, known for its focus on neo-soul, funk, and jazz. The label was started by Sunshine Makers frontman, Brent Jackson. The Sunshine Makers had a bold set in store for the audience, packing the stage with seven band members. They displayed masterful coordination and timing and created a stellar energy to end the festival. By performing songs like “Coming Up For Air” and “Got to be Good”, the audience quickly caught on to their wholesome aesthetic. Their infectious grooves and positive vibes left everyone dancing and smiling, making it a memorable finale. Fans are already eagerly anticipating the band’s next performance.
