MARC URSELLI’S RAMONES (REDUX)
MAGNETIC EYE RECORDS

Ramones embodied the underground scene with their distinctive sound and style, influencing generations despite their limited commercial success. Magnetic Eye’s Redux Series honours classic albums, including 14 Ramones tracks, preserving their legacy and introducing their music to new listeners, in a unique blend of styles that will keep the listener entertained.
Something for everyone in this compilation, and much like a live music performance cover, it brings its touch of spice, most notably demonstrated through Mondo Generator’s take on “Blitzkrieg Bop.” I particularly enjoyed the more intense chaotic feel of Ufomammut feat. Bent Sæther’s “Chain Saw”. It is super intriguing and equally mesmerising – looping in and out of consciousness, it’s spellbinding, smashing genres together in a uniquely eclectic blend of pure awesomeness.
Stand out track is GlerAkur feat. Andromeda Anarchia’s “I Don’t Wanna Go Down to the Basement”. Holy crap! It plays like an absolute masterpiece, a horror story and one for the ages – and I tell you what, I don’t want to step foot in that basement. Give Marc Urselli’s Ramones (Redux) a try; it’s a cool twist on fan favourites and a definite trip, for sure.
