The Franklin Electric
In Your Head
Last Gang Records
Timeless writing that you cannot afford to escape is a quick taste of sweet candy that Montreal based duo The Franklin Electric brings to their new EP In Your Head.
Right from the get-go when you start to slowly unwrap tracks such as βMade It Up In Your Headβ and βIβve Been Here Beforeβ, it becomes apparent how beautifully organic and raw the tunes are. Each lyric acts as almost an invitation to a backyard session sitting on a rustic orange couch with some of your favourite humans. Itβs truly feel-goodβ―type of music that reminds you that a lot of us share a similar heartbreakβ―or downfalls in our life.
βI Know You, You Know Meβ strikes at the most ideal time, as if you thought it couldnβt get any better.β― The trackβ―most definitely can become a chameleon, for whatever mood you may be in.
At first, I was concerned that this album would easily be compared to theβ―band β1975.β However, with the partnership of unusual vocabulary and smoothβ―twists of silence in βIf I Knewβ it allows you to hear your heart reply. So, when you listen to In Your Head, itβs best to keep a Holter monitor on hand.
