Atlanta-based Sevendust has released their 13th studio album, Blood & Stone. There is a little bit of a heavier vibe on this record, but they stay true to their sound.
They put the hammer down with βDying to Liveβ which goes back and forth between killer guitar shreds and Lajon Witherspoon screaming a message so profound that you feel it in your bones as the message embodies your soul. βYou better make peace with death/and take whatβs left/Iβll see you on the other sideβ.
βFeel Like Going Onβ slows things down a bit and gives the inspirational message that the guys have been right there with you, if youβve ever felt like life is too much. βWhat do I feel?/I feel like going onβ, Lajonβs soothing vocals will make you feel the emotion.
You can feel that this album was written from the heart, and it flows so smoothly that you find yourself at the end, and feeling good. Sevendust wrap things up with a remarkable cover of Soundgardenβs βThe Day I Tried to Liveβ, which they released first and gave fans the first taste of the album.Β The second release was a powerful βBlood From A Stoneβ.
To celebrate the release of the album, they will be holding a Livestream Event, taking place on October 23rd, at 9 PM EST. Details and access can be found on the bandβs website and Facebook page.
