SEPHINE LLO
DIAMOND FALL
INDEPENDENT

When composer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Sephine Llo released her debut EP in 2014 and her debut album in 2017, she created quite a buzz with her unconventional music which ranged from 18th-century UK folk to modern classical music.
Unfortunately, after the death of her husband in 2017, it took Llo some seven years to recover and come up with her second album, Diamond Fall.
As could be expected, the sorrow from this tragic event permeates the tone and sound of this album. The emotional charge of the compositions here is so high and present that it passes on to the listener, but at the same time has quite a healing effect, both for the artist as well as her listeners. She has come up with some complex music that goes beyond personal.
As Llo herself notes: “Though the grief will never leave me, nor would I want it to, the creating and completing of Diamond Fall has allowed me to encapsulate and step outside the initial, debilitating stage of the loss, and has played a huge part in my healing. This album I dedicate to him, wherever he may be.”
