SPILL ALBUM REVIEW: ROBERT GLASPER – FUCK YO FEELINGS

Robert Glasper

Robert Glasper
Fuck Yo Feelings
Loma Vista Recordings

Robert Glasper, legendary genre-bending, and multiple Grammy and Emmy-winning artist and producer, has released his newest project Fuck Yo Feelings, a collaboration with such top-tier standout artists and collaborators as Yasiin Bey, Herbie Hancock, Andra Day, YBN Cordae, Terrace Martin, Baby Rose, Bilal, Buddy, Denzel Curry, Mick Jenicks, SiR, Rapsody and more.

Fuck Yo Feelings’ opener, “Intro”, gives insight to the rest of release, often repeating “fuck yo feelings”. The bare beat in the background gives an abstract, imaginative feel that sets the tone for the whole project.

“Aah Woah” is a soulful, motivational, and inspiring piece, that is also quite contemplative.“Not a failure, just an alternate to success/Your perspective is weakened by emotion” hits home as listeners can relate to this at any point in their life. The distant vocals make listeners feel as if they are attending a motivational speech.

Fuck Yo Feelings is for those who appreciate complexity and enjoy the imagery of abstract art. Its fragmented layers are met somewhere in the middle, and fuse with soul and experimental harmonies, touching upon jazz and R&B. It can be difficult to follow at times; however, it has a calming nature that makes one contemplative and inspired.

by Nathan Pike on February 13, 2026
BECK EVERYBODY’S GOTTA LEARN SOMETIME CAPITOL RECORDS Beck has made a career out of keeping a healthy distance from particular genres. Never quite alternative, flirting with country, hanging off the edges of mainstream, but wacky enough to not [...]

SPILL ALBUM REVIEW: SUNDECAY – THE BLOOD LIVES AGAIN

by Samantha Andujar on February 13, 2026
SUNDECAY THE BLOOD LIVES AGAIN INDEPENDENT Sundecay’s sound is akin to a slow-forming bruise: a purplish-blue darkness that blooms around the skin until it becomes impossible to ignore. While the Toronto doom outfit has always embodied this [...]
