QUADECA
VANISHER, HORIZON SCRAPER
X8 MUSIC

When you are listed as a producer, singer, rapper, and visual artist, then at some point, you are bound to build a concept, and that is certainly what we have with Quadeca, an artist in the true sense of the word, who is all of the above. Yet, the problem there could be that when you try to present your art in more forms than one there are so many obstacles in front of you, particularly if you try to present a certain concept or concepts through it. It not only requires a ton of talent, but also hours of hard work to make something sensible out of it.
Quadeca started out by presenting his work through YouTube, whose previous work slowly took him to a spot at last year’s Coachella Music Festival. Now, Quadeca is coming with his latest concept album and a feature film Vanisher, Horizon Scraper, through which he presents a concept, as he puts it, “about a man who sets sail alone in search of freedom but is unknowingly drifting toward destruction.”
On paper, it all sounds like a quite a complicated, and at the same time gloomy affair, but in the mind and hands of Quadeca, it is neither, as he smoothly dresses his apocalyptic vision into some sophisticated melodies and both instrumental and vocal arrangements. Worth every listener’s time throughout.
