FROG
FROG FOR SALE
AUDIO ANTIHERO

Audio Antihero, the label that releases the music of the tricky little trio Frog, labels itself as ‘specialists in commercial suicide.’ Maybe they say that with their tongue firmly behind their cheek as Frog is becoming the label’s heroes (without that anti tag).
The trio’s hefty output so far has created quite a buzz, both among the critics and the indie fans, and Frog For Sale, Frog’s latest, is bound to continue the trend. As was the case with their previous offerings Bateman brothers Danny and Steve along with Tim White dress their eclectic takes on everything in their semi-lo-fi ethic, and instead of their concept getting lame and stale, the trio keeps perfecting its songwriting, adding seemingly little touches all over the place. Yet, it is those little touches that make the big picture quite
grand, something akin to R. Stevie Moore, that king of lo-fi and bedroom pop around the world.
