SPILL ALBUM REVIEW: ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND – FINAL CONCERT 10-28-14

Allman Brothers Band

ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND
FINAL CONCERT 10-28-14
PEACH RECORDS

Do you recall that magical night in 2014 when The Allman Brothers Band graced the Beacon Theatre stage for the last time? Oh, what a rollercoaster of emotions that evening was! It was like biting into a delicious slice of cake only to find it made of bittersweet chocolate—exquisite yet tinged with sadness. Fans were already troubled by the show marking the anniversary of founder Gregg Allman’s passing; imagine grappling with the knowledge that this would be the last time to hear your favourite band perform in concert.

Well, troubles no more, from “Troubles No More”, because this year, Peach Records released a commemorative three-disc digital CD, Final Concert 10-28-14, to celebrate the tenth anniversary of The Allman Brothers Band’s live performance from that night.

Final Concert 10-28-14 will take you right back to where you anxiously sat, waiting to jam out with these principal architects of southern rock. If you missed the grand finale, don’t fret! This album is your golden ticket to a spectacular experience! It’s not just a treasure for die-hard fans; it’s a delightful feast for the ears of anyone new to this musical 45-year-long journey.

The Allman Brothers Band decided to take its final stance by paying homage to the original six band members. You will hear one of their most iconic songs, “Midnight Rider”, the showstopper, “Whipping Post”, and Gregg Allman’s heartfelt rendition of “Dreams” from the whopping 30-song setlist.

So, get ready to join The Allman Brothers on this musical journey, honouring a beloved generation that will also electrify the present. There is only one way to roll fellow rockers—let the good times roll!
