PACER – THE TERROR OF OTHER PEOPLE
A SPILL EXCLUSIVE ALBUM PREMIERE
Pacer – Eric Poretsky and Jakob Shaw’s Los Angeles based indie rock project – has been taking their time. Growing up on opposite coasts, the duo found each other in the Fall of their freshman year of college, holed up in their Connecticut dorm rooms where they shared a love for music ranging from contemporary classical to Americana. Inspired by the ever-changing indie landscape of the early 2010s, the duo’s early demos and recordings blended thick layers of synths and electronics until they peeled back the layers to a folkier, homegrown sound.
Ditching computers in favor of a Tascam Portastudio four-track recorder, the duo spent the past year and a half writing and recording patient and intimate songs that draw attention to our shared and often unseen inner lives. Recorded over the course of 2019-2020 with a host of close friends and collaborators, their debut EP, The Terror Of Other People will be released this June.
