LITTLE FALLS TROPHY – REHASHED
A SPILL EXCLUSIVE ALBUM PREMIERE
New Jersey-based one-man band Little Falls Trophy is set to release its third album, Rehashed, on June 20, 2025, via Rock Ridge Music. Little Falls Trophy is rewriting the rules of reinvention with the album, a bold new spin on the sounds you thought you knew. Doug Albregts, the one-man band behind the name, reworks some of his favorite tunes with acoustic flair, lush guitar tones, and fresh arrangements that breathe new life into the originals. Add in a B-side gem and two handpicked covers, and you’ve got a musical trophy case brimming with reimagined moments and surprises.
Initially conceived as a bridge to his third full-length album, Rehashed evolved into a standalone project, recasting Little Falls Trophy’s earlier tracks with acoustic touches and a fresh perspective. Rehashed is a testament to the joy of reinvention. “It’s not just a redo; it’s a chance to explore what these songs could become,” Albregts shares.
Albregts has planned a series of singles in advance of the Rehashed album release. The first single, “Tranquilizer Pill,” kicked things off on December 6, 2024. Single two, “Thursday’s Friday,” was released on January 24, 2025. The third single, a Fountains of Wayne cover, “All Kinds of Time,” was released on March 7, 2025. “Addiction,” the fourth single, was released on April 11, 2025, Single five, “My Little Sunshine,” was released on May 16, 2025.
Albregts, who produced and engineered the album, was responsible for all of the guitars, vocals, and other sounds on Rehashed except for drums (Aaron Shafer-Haiss), harmonica on “Armstrong Park” (Jeff Albregts), additional vocals on “My Little Sunshine” (Christy Lynn), additional vocals on “The Weight” (John Lane), and additional vocals on “My Addiction” and “Thursday’s Friday” (Julie Neff). The album was largely recorded at Hapgood Studios in Mountain Lakes, New Jersey. Rehashed was mixed and mastered by Josh Tyrrell.
Inspired early on by The Beatles’ effortless ability to make simplicity feel profound, Albregts built his craft from their blueprint—but charted his own course. “They taught me to trust my instincts,” he says. “They could take something so basic and turn it into something deeply unique, and that stuck with me.” Those lessons shine through in both his first album, Hazelhurst (2021), an exploration of personal anguish over unrest, and his second album, Dutch Motel (2023), a rich, layered collection that cemented Albregts’ status as a songwriter coming into his prime. Dutch Motel was an album that married craftsmanship with heartfelt execution.
The name Little Falls Trophy reflects Albregts’ roots, paying homage to a family-owned trophy shop in his New Jersey hometown. But it also speaks to his broader mission: to capture life’s fleeting moments and turn them into something timeless. Starting as a bass player in college, Albregts only picked up the guitar seriously in recent years. His journey—from the 1980s music scene to a Covid-era creative breakthrough—has shaped a songwriter in touch with the pulse of the modern world.
