MISS FD
EUPHORIA
QUANTUM RELEASE RECORDS

Miss FD has been releasing music since 2009, and in those 16 years, she has released a lot of music. Euphoria, her new EP and her first since 2022’s As Above, So Below, is a welcome return to the EP format, giving fans four songs of what she does best. Darkwave EDM, high-powered dance music. She has released a few singles between EPs, but Euphoria gives her the ability to use four tracks to explore her musical landscape, which she does extremely well.
Miss FD sets the stage from the first track on. Pure electronica, pop music, dance music, however you want to categorize it, her music is pure pleasure. Her vocals, which are beautifully layered, are strong and melodic and by the end of “Moments Of Love” it is like love at first sight, or rather first hearing. “Waves Of Time”, which follows, instantly accessible and like “Moments OF Love”, is an instant love affair. She layers her vocals in such a way which combines her speaking to whispers to full on singing. It works on all levels, with that heavy beat driving the song until the end.
“Ocean of Sound” is perhaps the closest thing to darkwave on the EP, and even then, there is no escaping the beautiful melody and the feeling of the song washing over you as you listen. Once again, her vocals stand out and it does add another dimension to the EP. Euphoria comes to an end with the high energy “Carried by Rhythm”. As good as “Moments Of Love” is in opening the EP, “Carried by Rhythm” brings the EP to a close in style.
While Miss FD is often included with darkwave electronica, this EP is very upbeat and, for the most part, full of love and good times. Euphoria is the perfect title for this collection of songs. It is an EP of celebrating and enjoying the moment. It is another great EP in her growing catalogue. She made the correct decision not including the singles with this EP. Those songs are more standalone songs that might not have complemented the songs on Euphoria. Once again Miss FD has come up with another great EP.
