THE PHOENIX CONCERT THEATRE ANNOUNCES FREE CONCERT SERIES
FOUR PART CONCERT SERIES MARKS A TRIBUTE TO THE FANS AND FRIENDS OF THE LEGENDARY VENUE
The Phoenix Concert Theatre has announced a free concert series as a heartfelt gesture to thank its patrons for their unwavering support during challenging times. Originally slated to close in January 2025, the iconic venue has announced it will remain open, at least for now, with plans to continue serving Toronto’s vibrant music community. Q107 will be presenting the series, in conjunction with Budweiser. The series will be absolutely free, with tickets available through Ticketweb. See below for more details and ticket links.
“The outpouring of support when we first announced the potential closure of 410 Sherbourne was nothing short of incredible,” said Lisa Zbitnew, co-owner and operator of The Phoenix Concert Theatre. “The excitement when we shared that we’d be staying open until we find a suitable new location was even more overwhelming. Fans of The Phoenix have rooted for us throughout the years, showing just how deeply The Phoenix is woven into their lives. We wanted to express our gratitude in the best way we know—through live music.”
The four-part concert series will kick off on January 18, with a performance by Paul James, Canada’s legendary R&B guitarist, celebrating the Early Years of Rock and his 74th birthday. The series will continue on subsequent Saturdays, offering a month of incredible live music experiences.
