TALK
@ THE DANFORTH MUSIC HALL, TORONTO
APRIL 22, 2024
The Canadian sensation TALK delivered a mesmerizing performance that will linger in the memories of all who attended. The Danforth Music Hall, brimming with eager fans, provided an intimate backdrop for the musical virtuoso to showcase his talents and he delivered more than what we expected.
An unexpected delight awaited the audience as TALK joined the opening act during their rendition of Coldplay’s “Yellow.” Cheers erupted as he graced the stage, igniting a wave of excitement among his devoted followers making them even more eager to see what he had planned for his set shortly after.
Throughout the night, TALK captivated the crowd with his electrifying presence, showcasing not only his musical prowess but also his signature move β the croc kick. This endearing gesture, a staple of his performances, resonated deeply with his adoring fans as they all hoped for the crocs to fly in their direction.
From beloved originals to timeless rock covers, TALK curated a setlist that engaged the audience, allowing them to participate in the experience by choosing which songs they covered at a given moment. One thing to mention is that TALK is very sentimental when it comes to family and mentioned that his grandmother had made bracelets for his tour and all the proceeds from the bracelets go straight to her at the end of the tour. The crowd filled with βawesβ as this touching anecdote was the perfect segue into his song βAfraid of the Darkβ.
True to his word, TALK delivered a performance unlike any other, infusing the evening with his unparalleled charisma and infectious stage presence. He didn’t just entertain; he invited the audience to become active participants in the spectacle, forging a connection that transcended the stage. For his encore, we were treated to an epic band jam session followed by the song that got him to where he is today βRun Away To Marsβ and βLa Ziguezonβ a traditional french song.
TALK returns to the Toronto stage April 27, and if you want to experience something truly amazing, then The Danforth is where you need to be.
