Is it something in the water or air way down under in New Zealand, or do they simply just love their left field, gently (or not so gently) quirky pop rock in all its shapes and forms?

After the likes of Chris Knox, Tall Dwarfs, The Clean and many others, here comes one Lukas Mayo (they/them), who work under the moniker of Pickle Darling and their latest offering Laundromat.

Any of us when we take our stuff to be washed in a (non-musical) laundromat we simply throw everything in, hoping both the small and big pieces of clothing will turn up fine and washed.

In their musical laundromat Mayo throw in musical bits and pieces, both small and in this case, one large piece and by their capabilities and wisdom, all these quirky musical pieces turn out just fine and dandy, showing us what musical vignettes should really sound like.
