The six-year hiatus for An Horse is over. They have come back after their break with an ignition to prove they’ve still got it. Their third album, Modern Air is a great sign that although they took over a half decade off, the music still pulses through their veins. The band sounds as tight as ever and the music flows naturally covering all the bases. The project in its entirety has a strong showing. Tracks like “Started a Fire”, “Get Out Somehow” and “Breakfast” showcase performances of musicianship that punch you right in the face. Followed by melodic symphonies like “Bob Ross (Be the Water)” and “Mind Reader”, this album gives you something for whatever you need to get through in your daily grind. It’s great to see An Horse back and kicking ass like they never left.
