About The Roseville Band
The Roseville Band bring driven psych & roll from the hills of Wales. Forming the nucleus of the band are the guitarist brothers Andy and Steve Jones, who grew up in the Welsh countryside, in their house – Roseville – which over time drew in a community of friends and musicians from the surrounding area, eventually giving rise to The Roseville Band. Winning over BBC Radio with their debut releases, the band quickly turned heads on the UK indie scene with their 2010 & 2011 Tri-Tone/PIAS LPs – ‘Little Eyes In The Universe’ & ‘Shake The Walls’, respectively β earning the band early support and mentions from the likes of Artrocker, NME, and The Guardian among others.
UK festivals followed with shows at Glastonbury, Sound City, and FOCUS Wales, and eventually international events Canadian Music Week & NXNE; where they were dubbed Standout International Act, and bagging a new record deal in the process. For their 2013 LP, ‘TEMPER’, the band teamed up with Pipe & Hat / Fontana North in Canada. Bringing a darker and alternative slant to their music, the release brought the band to the attention of new audiences around the world, with the band embarking on tours across Europe, Canada and USA in 2014, to great reviews. In support of the release, the band were also named BBC Artist of the Week in Wales, and playlisted by the BBC for 6 consecutive weeks.
2015 has seen the band retreat to base in the Welsh countryside, where they’ve been writing and recording their new LP, set for release in 2016. Their forthcoming LP sees the band lean into a world of psych, with their recent UK teaser shows receiving glowing reviews, and likens from a melting pot of music from the likes of CAN, NEU!, and Super Furry Animals to early Echo & The Bunnymen, and has the band primed for new frontiers upon its 2016 release.
