SPILL ALBUM REVIEW: VARIOUS ARTISTS – DEEPLOMATIC FLAVOURS VOL. 1

Deeplomatic Flavours Vol. 1
Deeplomatic Recordings

UK record label Deeplomatic Recordings celebrate their 80th release with Deeplomatic Flavours Vol.1. It is the first in a new series of special compilation albums featuring tracks by up-and-coming creators including Robert Babicz, Francesca Lombardo, Ninetoes, Funk D´Void, Einmusik, La Fleur, Rick Wade, Joeski, Terrence Parker, and Miguel Puente. DJ Sneak, Kintar, Richie Hawtin, Terrence Parker, Gene Hunt, Paco Osuna and Alex Ferrer have already given their support.

Deeplomatic Flavours Vol.1 includes a wide selection of 20 original songs and remixes ranging from Minimal House to Deep House, to darker techno-infused tracks. Mr. Alessandro (Spain) spices up the mix with “Azee Project – Pescador Pobla (Mr Alessandro Remix 2017),” my favourite track on the album. The bopping African choral and polyrhythmic clapping samples are sure to get you moving. Some funk and disco tracks are also sprinkled in via Samidare Fadein´(Japan), Rafa Alcantara (Spain), VALDA (Italy), Sous Marin (Australia) and Brett Rubin’s (United States) music.

Overall, the compilation’s array of excellent electronic tracks has something for everyone, making it a great addition to any collection. Definitely a collection series to watch for.
