A Spill Exclusive MusicΒ Premiere
The song was made in 2 days but there was a year of time in between them. Both occasions, I put it together to play a live show, but the first time through, it ended up as a more jovial, energetic tune with a completely different melody. The second time around, apart from giving it a face-lift, I was much more distraught and the new lyrics ended up spilling that onto it. The only real common point between the two occasions was that I was watching lots of Adventure Time. I’d like to think that the song carries a positive tension – one that supports the foundation of the song rather then causing it to crumble. But I guess that’s not up to me to decide.
