Dada Life
The Rules of Dada
Sony Music Canada
Dada Life is awesome. Refreshing, live, something new that’s been brought to the table. The Swedish Electronic/House duo (Olle Corneer and Stefan Engblom) are leaving a big footprint behind in the club scene and on worldwide music charts. The Rules of Dada went way past expectations and is on top in the Electronic music scene. “Kick Out the Epic Motherf***er” is the opening and most familiar track on the album and is full of so much drive and dynamite, that you won’t be able to sit still. “Feed the Dada” keeps up the liveliness of the album while explaining what “the dada” is with the lyrics, “We come into your smile when you want some fun/ We come into your feet when you’re jumping high/ We come into your hands when you want to fight/ We come into your legs when you want a ride/ So feed the Da da da da da.”
The album is personified with the same moods and tones as a heavy night out; from starting your evening with excitement (a feeling from the first track), to being overwhelmed with the drastic change of atmosphere (a feeling from the second track).
The album artwork is very abstract with two bananas and a champagne bottle growing from the ground, with a generic landscape background. ‘The Dada Life Philosophy,’ is posted all over their website, Facebook and Twitter; “Destroy dance music and have fun. Don’t look back in the past. Always go forward. Don’t think too much. Always follow the money. Do the Dada.” Those are the rules of Dada. Your music library will be empty without this album.
