SO FAINT
SO FAINT
BEETLE BOMB RECORDS

A chance studio meeting and 10 years of friendship that ensued this time around produced a seemingly unassuming, but quite an empowering album, that is So Faint. That chance meeting in a Vancouver studio was between Broken Social Scene’s Hannah Georgas and Lyn Heinemann, at that time a member of a number of not as well-known bands.
Yet, 10 years later, the duo that named itself So Faint has quietly come up with a slow-burning album that at some point grabs you and pulls the listener in with all its melodic, rhythmic and dual vocal intricacies created to an obvious synergy akin to the one Kristine Hersh and Tanya Donnelly had while they created music together as part of the Throwing Muses.
And all of it was practically created long distance by sending demos back and forth, something not so unusual these days, but what is unusual is the fact that the duo created such a close bond of ideas that at the same time shows both their closeness and individuality of both.
