HOLY WAVE
I’M DADA
SUICIDE SQUEEZE RECORDS

As time passes by, the critics have come up with so many genres and sub-genres in modern music seemingly to make it simpler for audiences to pick up their preferences. Yet, more and more, current bands and solo artists don’t care much about those, as they themselves are inspired and/or like quite a few of those, fitting them within their music as they see fit. The results often create something musically exciting or fail miserably, with very little middle ground there.
The Austin, TX quartet definitely like a wide range of music and try to fit it into theirs, and they have been doing it for quite a while now, with i’m DADA, their latest album proving their concept to be the right one.
They like their things to be ‘spaced out,’ whether it is the old-fashioned psychedelia, dream pop or whatever else they fancy, but what makes it all work here is that their musical connections sound so easy and organic, as they were always meant to be that way. Excellent.
