The 6th Annual St. Joe’s Neighbourhood Throwdown is coming to Henderson Brewery (128A Sterling Rd) on April 16th! We’re going back to our roots,  because there’s nothing like a great brewery to host our Throwdown.

Once again, over 400 West Toronto residents will come together for a music-filled night of community, celebration, and fundraising in support of St. Joe’s. Three bands, each representing a local neighbourhood and a hospital program, will take the stage for a night of rock & roll, bites & beer, friends & fundraising. Get ready to cheer on your favourite band and program area!

Our goal: raise over $100,000.

All three are part of St. Joe’s transformative new Patient Care Tower:

🏥 Surgery at St. Joseph’s

Surgical services are at the heart of St. Joe’s, serving more than 500,000 people in Toronto’s west end. Our teams perform nearly 28,000 procedures each year across specialties including cancer, orthopaedic, and bariatric surgery. The new Patient Care Tower will expand surgical capacity from 10 to 23 operating rooms, each designed for leading-edge robotic and minimally invasive technology. Your support will help modernize these spaces, reduce wait times, and ensure our community has access to advanced, compassionate surgical care close to home.

🧠 Transitional Aged Youth Unit

A first-of-its-kind unit dedicated to young adults aged 19–26, offering age-appropriate, therapeutic care during one of life’s most vulnerable stages. With your support, the new tower will expand therapeutic areas, double private rooms from 6 to 12, provide access to an outdoor therapeutic terrace, and create trauma-informed spaces,  helping us support even more young people when they need it most.

🚨 Emergency Department

St. Joe’s operates one of the busiest Emergency Departments in the GTA, serving close to 100,000 patients each year. While our Emergency Department is already one of Toronto’s most trusted and efficient, growing demand continues to strain capacity. The new tower will deliver 80,000 sq. ft. of modern emergency space designed to accommodate up to 115,000 visits annually, a 15% increase, ensuring we’re ready to meet the needs of a growing and aging community.
