ROSE HOTEL COLLABS WITH TREY LANDER (SUMMER WALKER, JID) FOR NEW SINGLE “PATTERNS”
STROLLING BONES RECORDS
Atlanta-based artist Rose Hotel (aka singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Jordan Reynolds) returns today with a new single, “Patterns,” co-produced with two-time GRAMMY-nominated Atlanta producer Trey Lander (Summer Walker, JID). Of the track, she offers, “I wrote this song while I was exploring Early Maladaptive Schemas with my therapist, and learning a lot about behavior patterns that we develop in early childhood. At the same time, I was going through some misalignment in my personal life with a partner, and the idea coalesced about how our patterns we learn influence us in life and in partnership. This song came from my process of coming to terms with some of my own patterns, as well as asking the people I love to have patience with me as I try to learn and grow through and from them. Also – I was listening to a lot of Bonnie Raitt when writing this and was becoming very obsessed with her soulful writing and chord progressions!”
The new song follows Rose Hotel’s sophomore album and Strolling Bones Records debut, A Pawn Surrender, which she co-produced with Atlanta-based engineers Damon Moon (Bathe Alone) and Graham Tavel (Material Girls) and acclaimed Athens, Georgia producer Drew Vandenberg (Faye Webster, S.G Goodman). The LP has been hailed as one of the “Best Albums of 2024,” praising, “Rose Hotel’s music is all about feelings: savoring them, ignoring them, giving into them, and letting them go. The album is refreshingly more concerned with expressing these authentic emotions than with honing a particular aesthetic.” It has been described as “a mix of slacker indie rock, folk, and psychedelia that kinda reminds me of the early Courtney Barnett EPs,” with another publication adding, “Reynolds’ lyrics cover relationships, feminine rage, temptation, and lustful thinking, all sung with breezy vocals similar to Emmylou Harris and Lida Husik”
Reynolds began playing keys with Kentucky psych-rockers Buffalo Rodeo when she was 19 and has built a career as a side musician for acts like Faye Webster, Susto, Neighbor Lady, and She Returns From War since self-releasing Rose Hotel’s 2019 debut, I Will Only Come When It’s a Yes. That year, Paste Magazine listed her among “25 Atlanta Indie Rock Bands You Need to Know,” praising, “It’s a miraculous mix of psych-rock, pop, and jazz that shouldn’t work, but Reynolds and her band knit them all tightly together for a full, bold sound.”
In celebration of the new single, Rose Hotel has two upcoming Atlanta shows: a solo set on March 7 at The Moody Motel and a full band show on March 14 at The EARL. See below for full details and stay tuned for more music and news from Rose Hotel in 2026.
