The band’s sound has been described as part swamp rock and part stoner rock that channels the spirit of artists such as Ozzy Osbourne, Queens of the Stone Age, and Lucinda Williams, while carving out a identity entirely their own.

The name *Animal Tonic* reflects the band’s philosophy; “We as humans sometimes forget that we are all animals, and we hope our music can resonate and be a ‘tonic’ above the veil of our consciousness.”

The band currently has six new songs written and recorded, and is working closely with Tim Bovaconti, who is mixing and helping co-produce the material. These songs will form the foundation of Animal Tonic’s debut album, slated for release in 2026.

Animal Tonic came to be when Stella and Adam met through a mutual friend, in 2024, and decided to pursue a songwriting collaboration that had no real end goal in mind. Their immediate and undeniable creative spark led to a flurry of songs being written and they were struck by how quickly the songs came together and how naturally their musical instincts aligned and they thought, “maybe this could
be a band?”

As the songwriting and the vision of making it a band expanded Stella and Adam knew the music they were creating would need a rhythmic “voice”, a drummer whose style could elevate the songs they had written. Enter Jadon Bailey, whose almost lyrical approach to drumming brought movement, space, and intensity to the songs. Jadon also brought a “singing voice” which proved to be a perfect complement to Stella’s and Adam’s voices. All three voices together became a three-way harmony that felt both raw and cohesive, it had “chemistry” and the jam sessions together led to more songs being written and they quickly set up to record and capture the energy and connection they had has a band. That initial chemistry became the foundation of what would soon evolve into Animal Tonic.
