ISABEL RUMBLE
HOLD EVERYTHING LIGHTLY
INDEPENDENT

There’s not that many chances for singer-songwriters to hide behind others. Both good and bad music they create is solely connected to their name and it is a make or break. At the same time, with so many of them being able to reach audiences these days, any failing could be a kiss of death for their career. That problem could be doubled if you are an independent artist, without the resources or a push of a record company, big or small.
With Isabel Rumble and her second album Hold Everything Lightly, there should be no problem as far as the quality of her music comes to question – her songwriting is not just solid, but excellent, and throughout the album she exhibits an equally excellent touch with arrangements, while her vocals and lyrics are an equal match to her songwriting.
The latter possibility of her remaining in the shadows because she’s an independent in a huge sea of singer songwriters is there, but would be a great shame, as she surely deserves better.
