It is a crowded house over in the singer-songwriter habitat. So many of them these days have to go on their own to present their music. And if you are just 22 years old and come from Milton, ON, coming up with your debut album things just might get even a bit more complicated than they should be.

And in the case of Billianne who fits the description above and her debut Modes of Transportation, they certainly shouldn’t be, as the 10 songs here ooze songwriting talent, presented through Billianne’s excellent voice and some tasteful, often delicate arrangements, sounding like she has been around for a while and being able to deliver music that quite a few bigger name singer songwriters could only dream of.

Whatever mode of transportation Billianne takes on from here, this album deserves to propel her to some great heights.
