Redshift Headlights formed in 2015 as a solo project of Stephen McCabe (singer/guitarist). to tour behind that first record Inside Voices.  Stephen enlisted good friends and former bandmates Dean Hoffman, Todd Farber, Jay Spanbauer, Justin Mitchell, and Paul Van Auken. From that point on, Redshift Headlights became a band, releasing two more records (Oshkosh and People!) until recording their newest album with Steve Albini at electrical audio in Chicago, “If You Are Around Still”

Redshift Headlights has played all over Wisconsin and through some of the greater Midwest, including Minneapolis, Chicago, Cleveland, Fort Wayne, Madison, Milwaukee, and Green Bay. they’ve shared stages with bands including Field Report, The Dodos, Palehound, Self-Evident, Dust, Hudson Falcons, The Dead Deads, The Traveling Suitcase and have played Mile Of Music, Wisconsin Public Television’s 30 minute music hour, Rock Garden Live, and Homegrown, while being featured on WMSE (Milwaukee), Wort (Madison),Code Zero (Fox Valley), us today, and others.

The album was recorded by recording engineer Steve Albini (Nirvana’s In Utero, The Pixies, Breeders, Bush, PJ Harvey, Etc…) at Electrical Audio in Chicago in March 2024, just weeks before Albini’s sudden and fucking tragic death, and was Mastered by Justin Perkins of Mystery Room Mastering.
