Today, Seattle garage rock outfit Biblioteka have announced their upcoming three-track EP Kikimora, alongside the release of their delightfully cacophonous new single, “She’s Bad.” Accompanied by an outrageous music video complete with rooftop beers, copious saturation, and swirling green screens, the track is a punky, angular extravaganza led by the intensity of frontwoman Mary Robbins’ vocals and crushing riffs from guitarist Hexx Rodriguez.
Kikimora is the follow up to 2022’s Pretty Ugly LP, which Backseat Mafia said, “crackles with vitality and gets a lot out of a traditional rock band setup.” The album chronicled the band’s personal experiences during the pandemic, with tracks like “Tick Tock” and “Waiting For Nothing” exploring feelings of paranoia due to isolation and drug use.
The band is also announcing their full series of tour dates supporting the new EP, which will span both coasts of the United States, and take a detour to Mexico City.
