VV & The Void have released a new video for “It Is Happening Again”, a song first heard on the wondrous album The Cage, released earlier this year. VV & The Void leader and chanteuse Valentina Veil, recently said, “it is a love song with a bittersweet feel, the last dance of hearts once in sync. Love fades, leaving empty spaces, and it’s hard to escape, perhaps, in the end, we don’t really want to (“your lips still warm, the kiss before the fall” sings VV). The song is about that lingering sense of sadness but also that nostalgic hope for what might have been.” The surrealistic video, assembled by the LA-based filmmaker Sarah Bitely, finds VV & The Void creating the perfect canvas for phantasmagoric imagery where time and space have no rules.
Originally formed in Melbourne, Australia, VV & The Void made their auspicious debut in 2018 with the critically acclaimed album The Upper Room. Often described as ethereal, gothic, minimal-drone, and dark wave, VV & the Void’s music is a singular celebration of an earthly and lucid dichotomy of grace and disproportion. Currently based in Berlin, Germany, Valentina has continued her prolific path with a series of fine releases while also continuing to perform across Europe and regularly collaborating with Metropolis Records artists Night Nail. The Cage is available through Paris-based Icy Cold Records on all digital and streaming platforms along with vinyl and CD.
