PIERCE THE VEIL w/ SLEEPING WITH SIRENS & BEACH WEATHER
@ BUDWEISER STAGE, TORONTO
MAY 28, 2025
It’s not often you leave a show feeling like you just lived through a full-blown experience rather than just a concert but that’s exactly what happened at Budweiser Stage this week in Toronto on Pierce The Veil’s tour, with powerhouse support from Sleeping with Sirens and Beach Weather. From the very first guitar strum to the final cymbal crash, the energy in the venue never dipped, creating a night that brought together fans of all generations under one roof to celebrate the power of live music.
Beach Weather opened the night with the exact kind of set you hope for from an opener. They were the perfect warm-up act, doing precisely what they needed to do to set the tone, get the crowd moving, and build the anticipation. Their dreamy yet infectious alt-pop sound filled the space with ease, and by the end of their set, the crowd was fully on board, cheering and dancing as if they’d been waiting just as long to see them.
Then came Sleeping With Sirens, and to say they tore the house down would be an understatement. From the moment frontman Kellin Quinn hit the stage, the crowd was all in. Armed with an iconic playlist stacked with fan favourites, the band delivered a high-octane set that didn’t let up for a second. Quinn’s live vocals were impressive as always, but what stood out most was how he added his own spin to each song with little vocal runs, extra screams, and spontaneous energy bursts that made each performance feel uniquely live and in-the-moment.
What made their set even more memorable was how much fun the band seemed to be having. This wasn’t just another stop on a tour; this was a celebration. Their chemistry was undeniable, and their love for what they do bled into every moment. They turned the set into their own show, captivating the crowd so thoroughly that it felt like we were witnessing something intimate, even among thousands. The audience was wrapped around their fingers, responding to every gesture, every note, and every scream like it was gospel.
And then, as the lights dimmed one final time, the roar for Pierce The Veil shook the venue. The band didn’t just meet expectations they blew past them. Known for their explosive live performances, they once again proved why they’re considered one of the best in the scene. From the very first song, it was clear this wasn’t just a show it was an experience.
As the night came to a close, the opening notes of “King for a Day” rang out and the crowd erupted. It was the moment everyone had been waiting for. The energy in the room reached an electrifying peak, with every person in the venue screaming along word for word, jumping in sync, and losing themselves in the chaos of that iconic anthem. The floor shook under the weight of thousands of feet, arms were raised high, and it felt like the roof might actually lift off. It was pure chaos as every ounce of emotion, adrenaline, and joy from the night exploded in a final, unforgettable performance.
Headbanging, moshing, and crowd-surfing this was a full-body, full-heart event. Their setlist spanned across albums, bringing together longtime fans and newer ones alike. It was emotional, it was chaotic, it was loud, and it was perfect.
In a night packed with soaring vocals, thunderous drums, and unforgettable moments, this lineup proved that live rock is not only alive and well, but thriving.
