SPILL ALBUM REVIEW: WILLIE NELSON – OH WHAT A BEAUTIFUL WORLD

Willie Nelson

WILLIE NELSON
OH WHAT A BEAUTIFUL WORLD
LEGACY RECORDINGS

The iconic Willie Nelson, a Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Famer and 14-time GRAMMY® winner has released, Oh What A Beautiful World. This marks his 77th solo studio project and the 154th in total, hitting shelves on April 25, 2025.

Every one of the album’s 12 tracks has been written by Nelson. The title song, he co-wrote with Rodney Crowell — an artist that Nelson has long respected.

“Oh What A Beautiful World” inspires a renewed appreciation for life’s fleeting beauty. Nelson’s signature voice adds an unmistakable outlaw vibe!

This magical mix features tunes like “Banks Of The Old Bandera”, “Shame On The Moon”, and “Stuff That Works”. Each track is like a carefully wrapped gift, showcasing Crowell’s lyrical artistry paired with Nelson’s distinctive interpretive charm. It’s the kind of collaboration that sparkles brighter than a Texas star!

In addition, Nelson is revving up for a whirlwind tour to celebrate Oh What A Beautiful World. The Outlaw Music Festival Tour is set to launch in May, promising to be an unforgettable ride filled with tunes, tales, and plenty of Nelson’s favourite artists; yep, Dylan’s going to be there and so am I!

It’s time for all Nelson fans to dust off those cowboy boots and prepare for what promises to be some unforgettable, toe-tapping melodies from this dynamic LP. The album reminds us of what a beautiful world it is with Nelson in it!

My love for music and writing has led me to be a music journalist. My favorite music era is the 70s. I want to help save the music from that era, so it is not forgotten, and writing about it helps me do that.
